THE DETAILS
-
This isn't a resort vacation—and that's intentional. If you're looking for a completely hands-off, all-inclusive experience where everything is done for you, this isn't the trip for you. We believe in showing up with curiosity, engaging with the people and places we're visiting, and being part of the experience rather than simply consuming it.
And if you're looking for a curated version of Black culture designed for the photo-op rather than genuine connection, you won't find that here either. We're here for the food, the stories, the people, the history, and the messy, beautiful reality of being somewhere and actually getting to know it.

This is intentionally a small-group experience.
The more intimate the better, so we can actually connect with the people and places we're visiting rather than moving through Tamiahua like a massive tour group.

This is a seafood-heavy trip.
Fish, shrimp, oysters and other seafood are an important part of Tamiahua's food culture, and they'll be a major part of what we eat.
This experience is not vegan-friendly, and I unfortunately cannot accommodate nut allergies because nuts are Afro-ancestral ingredient used frequently in some food preparations.
If you have another dietary restriction, please let me know before booking so we can determine whether we can accommodate it.
